What do you make of this? What is Meursault like?

There is a simple explanation for the way he is feeling about being emotionless, why founder over whats only temporary. These are events in his life that just happen for an occasional 1-2 hours maybe longer, maybe less. But do these things really have a significant impact on his life? I would not think so. The death of his mother was a bit surprising but that just shows what kind of man Meursault is. I feel like he tries to hide his emotions but deeply inside he feels the pain but showing pain is a sight of weakness.
