Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Picking Cotton Forgiveness

Ronald could have spent his whole life loathing Jennifer Thompson, but he chooses not to. Hating her would not reverse the years he spent in prison nor would it alleviate the pain off ridiculed against. Ronald action was one of maturity, I believe that his forgiveness could symbolize the idea that he is leaving the past in the past. Forgiveness for Jennifer was one of redemption, she sent an innocent man to jail, this event would sit on her conscience if she did not find peace.
