The presentation today was about two people who have experienced the fear the pressure of being in jail. The first speaker was Mr. Panayati who spend eight years in the medium security prison in New York. The prison he was put in was a medium security prison where there was more freedom and movement for the people who were in that jail. He worked in that prison and made 25 cents per hour. Mr. Panayati was angry at first and was not willing to forgive himself for the crime that he had committed but as the years passed away he took everything positively and learned to live with it. While in jail Mr. Panayati read several books on how to relieve anger which helped him over come his anger . The second speaker Mr. Lewis spent his time in maximum security jail in which there was less freedom and movement. He works in QCC for the biologial science program where they test blood samples. For Mr. Lewis his family was a big support, they helped him overcome his dreadful memories from his time in jail. I was shocked to listen their stories and their painful journey. They inspired me today to not leave hope for something so fast and explained the true meaning of forgiveness from their life experience.
