Reaction to Cancer

   While watching this documentary I found myself noticing that while it did focus on cancer and its disastrous effects, the documentary had a primary focus on children who had cancer. It made no mention of adults suffering from cancer and I found myself questioning why did they choose to do this? Why children in particular? I believe that the people who made this documentary chose to do this because it would help the viewers grasp the true gravity of the situation. We as a society view children as innocents who will shape and mold the future to come. Children have yet to be marked by experiences or mistakes and are in a way unmarred. Society views children as kids who should go on to live happy content lives, so to see the suffering for what it truly is, unadulterated pain allows one to understand how horrific cancer is. Most importantly, it exemplifies why we need to pay attention to this and redouble our efforts to cure cancer as a whole.
