Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Central park five and Picking cotton

Their were many similarities in Central park five documentary and Picking cotton. In both of the real life stories the innocent boys were forced to believe that they have committed the crime but in actually they didn't. In both stories they were sentenced for prison and were forced to admit  what they have not done. In documentray the subjects were forced to right letters against each other and taking each others name and blaming them for crime just so that they could go home. I felt really bad and I felt that the police didn't do their work properly and didn't took initiative to catch the real criminal. This was the episode that these boys can not forget their whole life and would think somehow they could get back their years that they have spend in jail.
