My reaction to the cancer documentary and the things that were seen and what we have read

  My reaction to the documentary is that I was in complete shock with both cases of the children cancer.  I was in complete shock to see how much pain and chemotherapy those little kids went through.  How rough the treatment was and all the pain they went through and the major side effects the treatments may have caused if they had new drugs put in their system.  Cancer is so big and broad as a topic and even a disease itself, simply because there are many types of cancer and not every type of cancer affects everyone in the same way. Many cancers have attacked children and its different with they way they fight it and it attacks their body compared to an adult or someone older.  This topic is so big that it can fit into a human story being able to see the different types of cancer and how such families have dealt with it from many points of view. Its incredible how so many people fight this  disease with their children and decide to tell it into a story so others can hear their stories and know what they also experienced. This film, fits into the class theme of "Why me?" because this is  a situation that affects people in  many ways and many people can think why me? why is this happening? this film asks the question a lot and although its hard to find answers its helping others see that there is a  chance for it to be conquered and it helps others really know the reality of what they are facing  with knowing that in the end their child will become a stronger person.  The film helps the theme of why me, because the parents asks "Why does this have to happen to my child" they are in a stage of disbelief but they know that with faith and all the support they can receive this disease can be cured from their loved one.  Its slightly different from what we have read but not a lot because it deals with why? and there's various situations that people face, that help them become stronger.  Theres always a purpose in the things we have read and in this documentary.
