Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Priscilla Ortiz- Ronald Point of View entry

Priscilla Ortiz
English 102

Ronald's Point of view changes what I read about Jennifer because It makes me think that he did it but at the same time that he didn't do it and he's getting blamed for something that he didn't do but many people claim he did do it not only to her but to another women to.  I believe that Ronald decided to  tell his point of view and all his Previous arrest so that readers can see how his past was. Yes his past was filed with arrests of Robberies and break ins, but that was along time ago.  I believe that some people while reading this and seeing his point of view and what he did back then makes  people think, that because he had an older sibling he had an influence to do them. But for some people it my not be the case when they read his point of view, some may think that Ronald did this and his criminal record reveals that he is a person that would do such a thing.  Reading his point and seeing all his charges did not change anything I thought about him I still think, "How can you do something like that to someone." The logic of, he will repeat it again because it is true he will tend to repeat it because he  has done it.  Everyone at a certain point has the right to change but not everyone is the same way, not everyone is willing to change and live a new life.  When he got tried by a all white jury I believe it was unfair.  because he was African American and he was tried by all white people and, he didn't get a fair trial like he thought  he would just because he was African American.  The fact that he had a white girlfriend and He was African American and the people he supposedly raped were white women had the impression of many people and the jury that he was a rapist and a bad person all because he was African American.  It made him have the reputation that he was a rapist and he targeted white people for a reason.  Many might come to the conclusion that he should get convicted of the crime so that he wouldn't get away with it like he did with the other charges he had been able to get away with previously.
