Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Richard
I think what makes Richard so compelling is that he exposes this malevolent character, while the other characters in the play are for lack of better word bland. From the very start of the play Richard expresses these dark evil thoughts and reveals his thirst for power. Richard does not express what he wants but he actually takes action and with no mercy kills anyone that gets in his way. I think that is what makes Richard an interesting character because he is this ruthless, selfish, manipulative character and as the reader we are compelled an interested to know more about this twisted character.
