Emotions

I think meursaults lack of emotions tie in with a lot of his actions. Although he may feel certain emotions, I don't think he truly understands how to use them. He doesn't really put the right emotions with the right situations. When his mother died he may have been sad, but his actions were careless. He didn't act like a normal grieving son would if their mother passed. He sort of brushed it off and treated the day like any other ordinary day. Then when he started dating Marie, and eventually having the talk about marriage he played it like sure whatever. He didn't really care, he basically said "if you want to." As if it really didn't matter. The thing is he did really like her, so he does feel certain emotions he just has a bad way of expressing them and I believe there is a certain disorder for that.
