Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

Mission Trail by Jeniffer Lagier

Question A
Yes, the poem has a plot. The narrator is describing her discoveries that she experienced during a hike. She wanted to tell her father that she encountered a secret canyon trial but unfortunately that happen to be the final morning of his life. The narrators father seems to have been bed rest before his death because in the poem it says "I phone to tell you of my adventure describe miles of hidden wilderness you could no longer walk".  I think the narrators father loved nature so after he dies the narrator believes his spirit can live in nature freely.
