Richard III

 As Richard stands out being one of the earliest anti-heroes in English literature, I believe he is compelling because he leaves the readers wanting to know more. His way of being honestly cryptic and unexpected gains the readers intrest. Maybe his historical background might be the reason Richard seems to enjoy lying, manipulating, murdering and ultimately creating chaos. It's as if he's comfortable in his own shell, and isolated from the rest with an unexpected opening. He reminds me of anti-hero Donald Trump because he is liked by some but also hated by many.
