Richard as an Anti-hero

I don't think Richard deserves the throne or deserve power over the people. His actions to get up to the throne diminishes his status of power in my eyes. Basically meaning, he doesn't deserve to be King in my opinion and the more he hurts others to get to the top the more he deserves nothing. As i wrote in my last post, i think he is the most compelling character because his part is so significant. He is one of the main characters whose always up to something. There is always something that'll leave a reader on the edge of their seat while reading. He has killed and hurt and manipulated way to many people to deserve the throne. He's heartless and his actions show just plain evil. Especially when he used Anne while she was mourning over her husband Edwards death, whom Richard had killed, just to get closer to the throne is terrible. He pretended to care and love her, but really was using her... and when he felt like he didn't need her anymore he killed her as well just getting rid of her like that. To me that is the definition of evil. Villains in a story make the story become more interesting in my opinion, for the simple fact that if there is not conflict or adventurous characters in the story it would seem less exciting. That's why conflict is key, and Richard creates that leaving him the evil one. Although he is just trying to win power and become King, the way he is going about it isn't moral and isn't worthy of a King's position. So I don't think he deserves King but i do think he was the biggest part of the story.
