1. The pattern of this poem is calm and quite and based on nature. the writer talks about going on a walk. while taking this walk the writer mentions rivers, trees, corn lilies, and ravines. 
2. the stanzas in this poem, describe in detail what the writer seen during her adventure through her secret canyon the writer then seen the river ribbon, continuing on to see cypress debris being washed away, and the writer also described decomposing tree trunks with mushrooms growing on them. 
3. i think the line breaks happen when the writer speaks about her father. the morning of his death, the writer last phone call to her father and the fact that 2 hours later he died.
