Richard III screening may 11-2016

   There was many similarities and differences while watching the movie of Richard III and reading the play.  So does any movie have when the novel or play gets turned into a movie.  Many times things in the book, play don't occur in the movie or the things get changed.  An example is, how Richard goes and orders his brothers to get killed and how he kills The queens husband.  He does do both in the play and in the movie, but There are things that I saw were different that happens in the play but not the movie.  For example, in  the play, Richard does get what he wants to get the queen to marry him, but he proposes to her but you never see them getting married.  In the movie also, his sister in law doesn't support the idea of him becoming in charge of the throne and he supports the idea of getting a prince, the thing that I did not see occur is that Did Richard get rid of the prince too? or did  he first say no to becoming king so that another person can become king later on?  that is a difference that I saw in the screening but not in the play.  In addition, The queen curses Everyone and says " Curse... and may you wet your bed..." or something to that extent, implying that she wants Richard and everyone who did her wrong to die because they deserve it as he killed her husband and she never imagined losing him.  We also get the chance to see how Richard reacts at night to everything he has done, not being able to go to sleep and having nightmares.  This can be an example of how he gets haunted from everything he has done and how he will eventually pay for it.  In the play this is also present in one of the scenes where he is begging to get haunted by what he has done to others.  Richards plans however, do not come true because everything backfired on him and how he wanted everything to go in the movie, he pays for everything he has done during a battle.  Which in the end is what he deserves, he got what he deserved and when someone is destined to pay for what they did here in life, there is no way that the person can escape from paying it, because sooner or later, the person will pay.  In the end, I believe the author of the play, and the director of the movie decided to change certain things that occurred in the movie and not in the play and vice versa, to show that things can happen in different ways and sometimes certain things occur and others don't.
